Topographical
Surveys
Produced at any scale and in most popular digital formats (AutoCAD,
Genio, and Microstation). Field data is collected automatically,
downloaded and processed to the client's specification. The Topographical
survey is often used as the basis for other work such as measured
building survey or underground services tracing. Data is generally
collected 3 dimensionally and further analysis such as contouring,
volumes, sections & visualisations can be produced.

Deformation
Surveys
Almost any structure can
be measured by a variety
of techniques to
make comparisons with the design shape, verticality or check for movement
over time. Normally angular measurement is used as it generally produces
more accurate results than standard EDM.

|
Underground
Services tracing
Normally the procurement of this data is overlaid onto a topographical
survey, which has previously been completed. Data for underground
services can be collected by a variety of methods from: statutory
services search, assumed drainage connections from inspection of drainage
chambers, dye tracing of routes, underground tracing or ground probing
radar.

Measured
Building Surveys
Floor Plans, Elevations and sections are normally produced at scales
of 1:50 or 1:100 and in CAD format. Data is collected by a variety
of methods depending on the size, shape and accessibility of the
building.

Expert
Witness Service
Expert advice can be given from a short written report through to
court appearances on matters relating to Land Surveying. The company
has acted as experts on boundary disputes and professional indemnity
claims in the construction industry. Setting Out Normally of large
schemes such as pipelines, highways, large construction sites etc,
where a primary overall control is required. Setting out is undertaken
by EDM but on many larger sites it is becoming more economic to
use Real time kinematic GPS.
Modelling
/ CAD Services
Ranges of software and expert users are available to produce volume
calculations, sections, contours, 3D visualisations, isopachyte
analysis and digitisation of existing drawings. Software packages
used include: Infrasoft, AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, SCC and Civilcad.
